As we approach the final phase of registrations, availability is now limited, with just 1 single occupancy room and 2 double occupancy rooms remaining. HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Over the past three years, what began as a simple invitation to pause and practise silence has quietly grown into a conscious community — eight retreats strong, and now approaching its ninth. Each gathering welcomes individuals at different stages of their journey, from first-time participants to those returning to deepen an evolving practice.

Silence, in this way, becomes a gentle stepping stone — not something to master, but to grow into. In the short term, it offers calm, clarity, and space to breathe; over time, it reshapes how we relate to ourselves, to others, and to the world around us.

To join this community is more than attending a retreat—it is a shared commitment to presence, and an invitation to rediscover the quiet intelligence within.

A RETURN TO WHAT MATTERS

Hui Zhi, a returning participant from Song of Silence 5, reflects on her experience with a quiet clarity that speaks volumes: what began as a simple retreat last year became a deeply transformative encounter with stillness. She shares that it was in silence—free from the need to explain, respond, or perform—that she uncovered a kind of healing words could not reach.

The absence of noise did not feel empty, but expansive, creating space for a deeper sense of peace, presence, and self-awareness to emerge. Drawn back by this quiet resonance, Hui Zhi will be returning for Song of Silence 6 this August to reconnect with the meaningful stillness that allowed her to feel more grounded, more attuned, and more fully herself.

A STEPPING STONE

As Shaun’s yoga practice deepened, he felt a natural pull to explore its dimensions beyond the physical. This curiosity led him to seek out tools that could support a more intentional and sustained meditation practice, which brought him to Song of Silence 4.

The semi-silent structure—holding silence for 12 hours each day—offered a gentle and accessible entry point, allowing him to establish a meaningful foundation without overwhelm.

From there, Shaun took a further step into the practice through The Inner Temple 3, immersing himself in a six-day silent retreat where he encountered the depth of noble silence in a more profound way. Both experiences have been deeply transformative, opening a pathway to a sense of lightness, clarity, and inner steadiness that continues to unfold through his meditation journey.

At its essence, meditation has become a quiet refuge for Shaun—a space he returns to when he needs to step away from the noise of everyday life and reconnect with something more grounded within.
