Restorative Yoga: Removing The Thorn in the Flesh

  • Next to Bedok Reservoir MRT Station Bedok Reservoir View Singapore, 479235 (map)

Sometimes the hardest thing is not carrying the pain — but letting it go.

Many of us become so accustomed to stress, unhealthy relational dynamics, exhaustion, and survival patterns that they quietly become our normal. Like a thorn in the foot, we learn to walk with it. The nervous system begins mistaking familiarity for safety, even when that familiarity hurts us.

So when we finally slow down, choose differently, or release what no longer serves us, the body can react with restlessness instead of relief. Because uncertainty can feel dangerous too.

This offering explores how mindfulness and restorative yoga can support the nervous system through these moments of transition — gently teaching the body that softness is safe, rest is not weakness, and healing does not need to happen all at once.

Sometimes recovery is not about becoming someone new.
Sometimes it is simply learning how to walk freely again.

Hosted in an intimate setting of no more than 13 mats.
