Ritual of Remembrance

OASIS introduces a guided wellbeing practice designed to help individuals return to the body, reconnect with life force, and remember their innate capacity for presence, resilience, and connection.

Rooted in Bio Development principles, this module integrates somatic awareness, nervous system regulation, and embodied reflection to support holistic wellbeing.

Drawing inspiration from the musical lineage of Biodanza — where rhythm, melody, and movement awaken vitality and relational connection — the practice uses carefully curated music as a vehicle for integration and emotional expression.

These soundscapes are paired with the philosophical foundations of Tantra as a contemplative path of presence, reverence, and conscious engagement with life.

Through structured ritual, embodied listening, and gentle movement or stillness, participants are invited to remember what modern life often obscures: the intelligence of the body, the wisdom of sensation, and the restorative power of being fully present. The practice creates a safe container for reflection, emotional processing, and renewal — allowing insight to arise organically rather than through effort or analysis.

Ritual of Remembrance is not about becoming someone new. It is about returning — to wholeness, to aliveness, and to a felt sense of belonging within oneself and the world.

“Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes… including you.”
— Anne Lamott

As part of OASIS Outreach — a global conscious community created by Gabrielle Mendoza to support wellbeing from within — this session bridges the worlds of psychology, mindfulness, and embodied healing.

In the first half of the evening, Scarlette Yuen, registered counsellor from The Counselling Collab SG, and trained in Restorative Yoga under Gabrielle Mendoza, guided a grounded exploration into the science of connection.

Through the lens of attachment science, this session explores how our early relationships shape the way we connect with ourselves and others, and how co-regulation — the calming presence of another — helps our body return to safety. Together, we’ll reflect on what it means to build secure connections and a sense of belonging, both within and in our communities.

The second half of the session was a Restorative Yoga practice led by Gabrielle Mendoza. It offered the body a gentle way to integrate what was shared, in the comfort of your own home. Using supported postures, breath, and deep rest, participants were guided into stillness — where the nervous system could recalibrate and connection can be felt, not just understood.

Together, this OASIS Outreach session offers a holistic experience — blending science, self-inquiry, and somatic restoration to remind us that healing begins with connection.
