As part of OASIS Outreach — a global conscious community created by Gabrielle Mendoza to support wellbeing from within — this session bridges the worlds of psychology, mindfulness, and embodied healing.
In this session, we will explore how emotions are processed through the brain, body, and nervous system. Together, we will look at the difference between primary and secondary emotions, and how protective emotions can sometimes mask deeper feelings and needs beneath the surface.
We will also explore how developing emotional awareness and vocabulary can help us better understand and communicate our inner experiences, supporting greater emotional regulation, self-understanding, and connection with others.
The session will conclude with a gentle restorative practice and reflection, offering space to meet emotions with curiosity, compassion, and care.
Together, this OASIS Outreach session offers a holistic experience — blending science, self-inquiry, and somatic restoration to remind us that healing begins with connection.
